ISLAND has announced a $400 million Series F funding round led by Evolution Equity Partners, valuing the enterprise browser company at $6.4 billion. The investment takes total funding for Island to well over $1 billion. The company said it will use the money to improve its platform and support further growth.
Island says its platform has expanded from an enterprise browser into an “agentic control plane” governing human and automated activity across endpoints, software and networks. Its endpoint-outward SASE architecture is designed to provide zero-trust network access (ZTNA), device posture assessment and inline data loss prevention without traditional VPNs. Security teams can apply controls at the point of work, including blocking unauthorised clipboard transfers, downloads and screen captures. ZTNA access is granted after continuous checks of user credentials and environmental context.
For organisations using artificial intelligence, Island also provides controls intended to keep proprietary information separate from external language models and reduce prompt-injection risks. CEO and co-founder Mike Fey said the combined capabilities are intended to provide a single security, productivity and governance framework for human and agentic work. The announcement describes the platform’s capabilities and intended protections; it does not report a specific cyberattack or confirmed exploitation.
