TATA Electronics, part of India's Tata Group, has confirmed a recent cyberattack during which hackers claimed to have stolen confidential documents related to Apple and Tesla. The group World Leaks published over 630GB of data, containing more than 200,000 files, including component designs and specifications. Leaked documents highlighted quality-check standards for iPhone assembly and other sensitive materials related to Tata's operations.
The breach was unnoticed by Tata for weeks, and the company has received a ransom demand but has not disclosed the amount. Despite the breach, Tata claims its operations have not been affected.
