OLEKSII Oleksiyovych Lytvynenko, a Ukrainian national extradited from Ireland to the U.S., has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to the Conti ransomware operation. This announcement was made by the U.S. Department of Justice. Lytvynenko, aged 44, admitted to conspiracy to commit wire fraud for his involvement in ransomware attacks that took place between 2021 and 2022, which involved deploying Conti ransomware to steal data and extort Bitcoin from victims in the U.S. and abroad.
