Coca Cola Fairlife hit by Anubis ransomware, 1TB data stolen

COCA-COLA has confirmed a ransomware attack on its subsidiary Fairlife, leading to a data breach. The company paused production at Fairlife facilities in the U.S. for an investigation after the Anubis ransomware group claimed to have stolen 1 TB of data and threatened to leak it unless a ransom is paid. Although a majority of production has resumed, Coca-Cola reassured that product availability and quality remain largely unaffected. The financial impact is deemed minimal. The Anubis group employs a double-extortion tactic, encrypting files and threatening data leaks to increase the likelihood of obtaining ransom.
