HELMGUARD , a UK-based startup focused on agentic governance, risk and compliance (GRC) and security, has raised $7.3 million in a seed round. The funding was co-led by Infinity Ventures and Frontline, with additional participation from FinTech Collective, Stage 2 Capital and Entrepreneurs First. The money will fund an expanded push into the US market and bolster engineering and go-to-market teams.

Founded in 2024 by former Palantir executive John Daley (CEO) and Jack Miller (CTO), HelmGuard says its platform continuously collects and assesses risk signals from source systems to unify fragmented compliance, security and risk data, including unstructured data and documentation. Its AI agents automate risk management, assurance and control-gap assessment workflows, delivering results in a single, unified view.

The company emphasises that vendor risk at purchase is no longer sufficient as many products now embed AI, and its agents collect evidence and assess risks against verified, current claims. Daley highlighted that traditional compliance platforms document processes rather than reach conclusions, and HelmGuard aims to let organisations decide with AI-driven, source-of-truth risk insights.
