THE Bombay High Court issued an interim order to stop the hacker group FulcrumSec from leaking sensitive data related to students from the Pratiksha Foundation Charitable Trust. The leaked data includes personal medical details and information about the children's daily movements and their parents' occupations and incomes. The court emphasized the potential risks to children's safety and mental health if such sensitive details were made public.
Google and others have been ordered to block FulcrumSec's email IDs following their previous communication with a parent regarding the children's data. The initial contact from FulcrumSec occurred on May 12, with the injunction issued on June 12, and further hearings are scheduled.
