TWO British teenagers, Thalha Jubair and Owen Flowers, pleaded guilty to hacking Transport for London (TfL) in 2024, resulting in £29 million in losses and service disruptions. The National Crime Agency (NCA) reported that the hack affected various systems, forcing all TfL employees to reset passwords. Both individuals are part of the 'Scattered Spider' hacking group.
The investigation revealed Jubair's alleged involvement in over 120 computer network intrusions across multiple U.S. entities, with substantial ransom payments. They are set for sentencing on July 16, following their plea at Woolwich Crown Court.
