TWO men, Thalha Jubair (20) and Owen Flowers (18), pleaded guilty in the UK to charges related to a cyberattack on Transport for London, part of their involvement in the cybercrime group Scattered Spider. Their actions caused serious damage to the transport system and risked human welfare. Flowers also confessed to hacking U.S. healthcare providers. Prosecutors allege Jubair co-managed a SIM-swapping group and led a phishing campaign affecting over 130 companies, resulting in significant data breaches.

Other members of Scattered Spider have faced similar charges, with the group implicated in numerous cyberattacks and ransom demands totaling at least $115 million. Sentencing for Flowers and Jubair is set for July 15, 2026.
