THE ShinyHunters cyber extortion group has leaked over 41 GB of data allegedly stolen from Brinks Home, a Dallas-based physical security firm. The breach included more than 4.9 million records from the company’s Salesforce system. Brinks Home confirmed unauthorized access to its IT systems, prompting concerns about the personal information of its customers. Although the company maintained that its alarm services were unaffected, it has warned customers about potential phishing attempts resulting from the breach.
The incident coincided with ShinyHunters listing Brinks Home on its Tor-based leak site, showcasing the data as a result of non-payment of ransom.
