THE hacking group ShinyHunters claims to have breached the Council of Europe, exfiltrating nearly 300 GB of sensitive data, including payroll information for over 10,000 employees, along with various personal records. The group threatens to publish this data unless negotiations begin by June 16. The Council has not publicly acknowledged the breach yet.
ShinyHunters has a history of targeting significant organizations, including Salesforce clients and has recently exploited vulnerabilities like a zero-day in Oracle PeopleSoft.
